Lee McCormick is a one-click author for me, and this book only cements that.
Beyond Reason is book two of the series. While you can read it on its own, I highly recommend reading book one first, as part of the plot of the story extends from that.
Book two focuses on Axel and Xavier. Xavier is an assassin and Axel is the one who cleaned up his messes (and several other killers too.) I do not want to give away any spoilers, but it’s safe to say these characters have my heart. Lee took us on a ride with this book. It’s got danger and drama, tears and laughter, romance and heat. The bond that these two have is incredible. Lee has created characters that the reader can’t help but love.
I loved seeing Kade and Seth again. I thought that the continuation of the main storyline was done very well. I can’t wait to see whose story is next. Love this world and all the amazing characters in it.
