Hayden Hall is an author who always manages to bring a little something extra to any book. This one has a little bit of everything: angst and drama, romance and spice, awesome MCs and great side characters.
Cedric is a prince on the run. What he wants in life doesn’t quite line up with his family’s wishes, so he hops a plane to the US. There, he meets Mama Viv and her ragtag group of runaways and misfits. Neon Nights is a haven for those who have no where else to go, one of whom is Tristan. Let me just say, Tristan broke my heart. There were parts of him that were so dang relatable. I haven’t gotten teary over a book in ages, but Hayden made my eyes water with this one. But, beyond the fragility was such a strong heart and caring guy. He wants to save everyone, and Cedric catches his eye.
Their story has its angst, its breakups and makeups. But, it’s pure in a way I wasn’t expecting. Their connection has fire, for sure, but there is a slow heat and softness to it that was beautifully written.
And the side characters were fantastic! I can’t wait to read about the rest of the roommates, about Zain, and of course, see the interactions with Mama Viv and Neon Nights.
All I want is to help those who need it the most. So when a devastatingly handsome stranger lands in Neon Nights, the gay bar where we spend our days and nights, I immediately know he’s in trouble. I also know that we share an instant connection that comes once in a lifetime, but our clumsy kiss freaks him out and turns the night into a total disaster.
The truth is that Cedric Philippe Valois Montclair is no random stranger looking for a place to stay. He is a foreign prince about to be engaged to a woman his family picked for him. Facing the prospect of an arranged marriage, the charming prince ran to New York and fell into my arms.
Cedric is a dreamer, an art lover, and hell in a tight shirt. He makes my mouth water and my heart melt.
Can I protect him from his family’s pursuit? And can I resist that endless pull of attraction?
I know I can never be more than a friend to him. Even if he didn’t have to marry a French marchioness, he couldn’t be with me. But every minute we spend on the dance floor, our hands exploring each other’s biceps and backs, my desire for him becomes hotter.
I’m about to do something terribly stupid.
I’m about to fall in love with a prince.
The Cinderella Prince is a gay new adult romance featuring a chance encounter, a prince running away from an arranged marriage, a hero in search of a cause, their found family, and a hard-earned HEA with twists and turns before the end. It can be read as a standalone, but this book established the entire world of The Boys of Hudson Burrow. This is Tristan and Cedric’s story.
