Jamie Sullivan is a grumpy PT for the Bobcats hockey team. Life has left him a bit jaded after he lost out on a career he loved. But, he’s making plans to move on. That is, until he meets the newest Bobcat, a young hottie with an ego that hides his insecurities.
Archie is full of crazy quips and British slang. I was constantly laughing at the stuff that came out of his mouth. But, he is far more complex of a character than he first seems, and that made him even more endearing. He’s homesick. He’s struggling to believe all the things people say about him and his talent. He needs someone to show him they care about how he is beneath the ego, and Jamie is the perfect man for the job. Jamie comes across as stiff and controlling, so Archie is the balance he needs.
Lex Veia and Jemma Croft are an awesome team. They have written a really great, feel good story. The cute nickname, the fiery chemistry, the learning from each other…it’s all very well written. They’ve created a world that’s inviting and filled with some awesome side characters. I can’t wait to read the next ones!
